Ben Ketel is the Managing Partner for Red Tail Acquisitions LLC. Ben has nearly 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, and has successfully negotiated the acquisition of more than 5 million square feet of commercial assets, as well 10,000 units of multifamily apartments. Prior to joining Red Tail, Ben was a commercial real estate broker and Principal and Partner at Fowler Property Acquisitions, LLC. Ben earned his B.S. in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Northern Colorado.
Sean Miller is responsible for asset management, including strategic planning, financial analyses and lender relations, as well as sourcing new acquisitions and coordinating due diligence. Prior, Mr. Miller was Vice President of Acquisitions and Asset Manager with RM Crowe. He has nearly 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, has participated in $1 billion in commercial transactions, and held positions with The Broe Companies, Amerimar Realty Management Company and was a commercial real estate appraiser. Mr. Miller graduated from the University of Denver with a B.S. degree in Finance and a M.S. degree in Real Estate and Construction Management.
Ryan D. Rubenkoenig is responsible for new acquisitions in the Southwest and Midwest markets as well as overseeing leasing operations for the portfolio. He has over 15 years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry and has participated in the acquisition of over $150 million in assets and signed over 900 lease transactions with tenant such as Wal-Mart, Target, Aldi, lululemon athletica, Travelers, S.P. Richards, Cargill, U.S. Bank among others.
Prior to Red Tail Acquisitions, LLC, Mr. Rubenkoenig was the Director of Real Estate Services for Innovative Developers, Inc., leading their third-party services platform. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Society of Texas A&M Real Estate Professionals as well as serving as an Advisory Board Member of Phi Delta Theta.
Mr. Rubenkoenig graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a double major in Marketing and Finance as well as from Texas A&M University with a M.S. in Land Economics and Real Estate.
Joan Camera oversees all operations for Red Tail’s commercial portfolio, including property management, acquisitions, staffing and establishing policies and procedures. She has nearly 25 years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry and has previously held positions with CB Richard Ellis, Lincoln Equities Group and numerous high profile real estate owners and developers in New York City. Joan received Bachelor of Science degree from American University in Washington, DC.
Marlena Widera is responsible for overseeing lease administration throughout the portfolio, including processing leases, budget preparation, OpEx reconciliations and staff training. In her role as operations manager, Ms. Widera interfaces directly with Red Tail’s legal, accounting and IT departments to ensure that all lease information is entered, audited and implemented to the highest standards, using sophisticated Yardi modules. Prior to joining Red Tail, Ms. Widera held positions with CB Richard Ellis and CitiGroup. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California.
Francis Corso is responsible for overseeing all construction, design and due diligence reporting across Red Tail’s commercial portfolio. Mr. Corso began his career in New York City, focusing on energy consumption management for both private and publicly held commercial real estate portfolios. Prior to his position at Red Tail, Mr. Corso worked at a privately held real estate development and management company where his responsibilities consisted of overseeing building management operations, evaluating new development opportunities, handling zoning and variance resolutions, and project management. Mr. Corso studied Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in power and energy systems from Catholic University in Washington, DC.
Jacqueline Salazar is Red Tail’s senior real estate manager for our western region and is responsible for all areas of operations and management, including leasing. Jacque he has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry. She has held positions at Spectrum Property Management Co., Brixmor and CBRE, where her clients included CBRE Global Investors, Veteran’s Administration-Government, and Private Investment Firms. Her portfolios ranged from Class A office buildings, Industrial Business Parks, Shopping Centers, Mixed-Use properties, Home Owner Associations and Industrial Owner Associations. Ms. Salazar holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree from the University of Phoenix. She is an active member of ICSC and BOMA and holds ARM designations. She has been designated as CBRE 2013 Manager of the Year and most recently was recognized with a 2017 BOMA San Diego Membership award.
Christine Sakaguchi is responsible for all areas of operations and management for the Hawaii portfolio, including leasing. Her portfolio includes office, retail and industrial properties on the islands of Oahu, Maui and Hawaii. Ms. Sakaguchi has over 24 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining Red Tail Acquisitions, Ms. Sakaguchi held several key positions at CBRE including Senior Real Estate Manager where she was responsible for overseeing over 1 million square feet of retail and industrial properties. Prior to that, she held the position of Regional Operations Manager overseeing all aspects of business operations including finance and accounting, risk management, marketing, human resources, information technology and facilities management. Ms. Sakaguchi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Charles Badzik is responsible for identifying real estate acquisition opportunities in the Southeast and Northeast markets. Since joining the team, Mr. Badzik has performed acquisition underwriting and assisted with securing financing, due diligence, asset management and oversight on the portfolio.
Prior to Red Tail Acquisitions, LLC, Mr. Badzik worked with Panattoni Development Company as a Financial Analyst and Development Manager. In these roles, he focused on financial analysis and due diligence of industrial acquisitions and development opportunities, as well as, assisting in the management and reporting for the firm’s industrial portfolios totaling over $1B.
Mr. Badzik received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business.
Deborah Reeves is a Senior Regional Property Manager for our Texas market. Deborah’s portfolio consists of nearly 1 million SF of industrial properties, where she oversees all operations, financial management, tenant relations and tenant retention leasing. Ms. Reeves has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining Red Tail Acquisitions, Deborah held several property management positions at Emerson’s Commercial Management and Harwood International where she was responsible for luxury high rise office properties, as well as private home property management. Ms. Reeves holds a double Associates Degree in Business Psychology and Business Administration from Richland College.
Cassie Carothers oversees management operations of a portfolio of industrial and flex offices throughout the Midwest, totaling over 700,000 square feet. Prior to joining Red Tail Acquisitions in 2018, Cassie held positions at Zeller Realty Group and Hokanson Companies, Inc. She studied Journalism at Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana. Cassie is an active member of BOMA, IREM, and Indy CREW.
Jolene Terry-Phinney is Red Tail’s commercial Regional Manager in the Utah and Southwest regions. Jolene is a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of diversified commercial real estate experience in areas of property management, development, leasing, and construction management. She is responsible for overseeing the management of over 1.8 million SF of commercial property in Utah and various other markets in the SW and Pacific NW. Prior to joining Red Tail, Ms. Phinney was the Regional Senior Manager for Cushman Wakefield in the Salt Lake City Office and Regional Commercial Manager for CB Richard Ellis in the Utah Office. She also held the position of Senior Property Manager with the Woodbury Corporation, one of the largest Development & Management companies in the Intermountain West. Mrs. Phinney has her Certified Property Manager’s (CPM) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and has a Degree in Business Management from Southern Utah University and holds a Utah Real Estate license.
Curt Lorenz is responsible for overseeing commercial property management in our Pacific Northwest Region. His portfolio includes the Crescent Office Building and the West Spokane Industrial Park in Spokane, Washington and the Emerald office campus and Hillcrest Shopping Center in Boise, Idaho. In his role as property manager, Curt oversees all building operations, tenant relations and tenant retention leasing. Curt has been with Red Tail Acquisitions for over 12 years and is a graduate of Spokane Community College.
Malcolm Sun is responsible for acquisitions underwriting and assisting with financing, due diligence, asset management and oversight of the portfolio. Since joining the team in June of 2017 he has coordinated analysis of Industrial, Retail, Office and Hospitality properties. Mr. Sun received his Bachelors of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Chapman University.
